Our Inheritance of Amazing Grace

Pastor Grace and I can identify with the prodigal son. We’ve been there in that story. We know what it was like to be lost, to run away, to sin and kept on sinning. To try to make it on your own, and fail miserably.

We also know what God’s LOVE looks like. Jesus Christ has saved us over and over again, and showed us His love, mercy and grace countless times. He pursued us, waited for us, turned our lives around and continuously blesses us beyond what we even deserve or imagine.

We have been forgiven, redeemed, healed and renewed. Many times over. And so, Psalm 103 describes us well:

Let all that I am praise the LORD, with my whole heart, I will praise his holy name. Let all that I am praise the LORD; may I never forget the good things he does for me.

He forgives all my sins and heals all my diseases. He redeems me from death and crowns me with love and tender mercies. He fills my life with good things. My youth is renewed like the eagle’s!

The LORD is compassionate and merciful, slow to get angry and filled with unfailing love. He will not constantly accuse us, nor remain angry forever. He does not punish us for all our sins; he does not deal harshly with us, as we deserve.

We know you can relate with us. We are ALL recipients of God’s amazing grace. Because of Christ Jesus’ sinless life, saving death and resurrection this is our inheritance: we have freedom, forgiveness and abundant life here and forever!

Reflect on This:
Jesus is the reason we can celebrate God’s amazing grace. God loves to shower this grace upon you, not because of what you have done or haven’t done, but all because of Jesus saving us. What would your life be like if you live according to this truth?

Take This To Heart:
Now God has us where he wants us, with all the time in this world and the next to shower grace and kindness upon us in Christ Jesus. Saving is all his idea, and all his work. All we do is trust him enough to let him do it. It’s God’s gift from start to finish! Ephesians 2:8-10 (MSG)
