Trusting Our Father

Trusting Our Father

“My thoughts are nothing like your thoughts,” says the Lord. “And My ways are far beyond anything you could imagine. For just as the heavens are higher than the earth, so My ways are higher than your ways and My thoughts higher than your thoughts.”–Isaiah 55:8-9 (NLT)

Sometimes we face situations wherein we wonder what went wrong or why did this happen. Situations wherein it doesn’t make sense and there’s seems to be no solution at hand. It’s like everything just seems dark, not even a hint of light can be seen. And we’re just filled with WHYs and WHAT WILL HAPPEN NEXT? We keep praying and praying – and yet either God seems to be silent or His answers are different from what we’ve been praying for. But TAKE HEART!!! Because that’s just how God works! His ways and His thoughts are always HIGHER than ours.

“[In our hearts,] we can make our plans but the LORD determines our steps.” [Proverbs 16:9]

And all that God wants us to do is TRUST HIM.

Trust even when we don’t see it. Because He already knows the plans He has for us (see Jeremiah 29:11).
Trust even when timing is so crucial. Because He is never late nor early but His timing is always perfect (Ecclesiastes 3:11).
Trust even when it seems impossible. Because with Him, all things are possible (see Matthew 19:26).
TRUST because He is our Father and we are His children (see 1 John 3:1). He knows what’s best for us and He will never leave us nor forsake us (see Deuteronomy 31:8).
But He is holding us by hand, in every season of our lives and in every step of our journeys.

Prayer: Father, thank You for the circumstances in our lives. Help us to see our situations from Your perspective and to completely trust in Your ways. Guard our hearts with Your peace and fill us with Your Spirit bearing the fruit of joy, knowing that You already know what’s ahead. We surrender our lives to You, Jesus, and we receive victory because You have already won the battle for us. We love You, Father. Be glorified in our lives. In Jesus’ Name, Amen.

In Christ,
Justine Anne
