One of the most powerful verses that speak about the size of God’s blessings and the extent to what God is able to provide in, through, and for you is this:
20 Now to Him who is able to do far more abundantly beyond all that we ask or think, according to the power that works within us, 21 to Him be the glory in the church and in Christ Jesus to all generations [n]forever and ever. Amen.
Ephesians 3:20-21
“beyond all that you could ever ask or imagine…”
All our prayer requests, everything we can think of to ask God to provide in our behalf, everything we can imagine that He would do for us, all the dreams that God put in our hearts… God says in this verse that he is able to do “beyond” all that. How big are your dreams? How deep is your need? God says He is able to provide beyond all that.
And that’s just the baseline!
God says His provisions are “abundantly beyond all that” … No, wait… It’s really “far more” than what is already abundantly beyond all that. It’s like when God promised to give Abraham an impossible request – a son in his old age. One son was all that Abraham prayed for or imagined. And yet, God showed him the stars and said he’ll have children as many as these – “abundantly beyond”. And THEN God also showed him the sand on the shores and added, you’ll have as many children as these grains of sand too – “far more abundantly beyond all that you could ever ask or imagine”.
This is how big God is. This is how good He is. God is infinite and all-powerful. There is no limit to what He is able to do.
Reflect on This:
What kind of prayers would you have knowing without a doubt that “God is so big, so strong and so mighty; there’s nothing my God cannot do”? How big would your faith become?
