You Are Pleasing to God

You are fully pleasing to God. Do we truly believe this?

Sometimes we may not feel as if we are fully pleasing to God, especially when we look at what we have done (or not done)… if we have not obeyed God fully, or if we failed at some sin… we feel as if we let God down and we don’t measure up… so then we think, “How can God be pleased with me?!”

But God said He made us accepted in His Beloved, Jesus His Son. Not in our abilities, but in His Son.
In Matthew 3:17, God the Father declares He is pleased with His Son, His Beloved, even before Jesus began his ministry.

It is the same with us. Because of what Jesus has done on the cross for us, we have been forgiven of our sins and set free to worship and love God. When God looks at us, He sees His Son in us, and considers us accepted in Him. In fact even before creation we were chosen to be holy and blameless (Ephesians 1:4)! Before we have even started to worship or love or obey Him, He loved us and is pleased with us.

Reflect on This:
How would your life be like if you live free from condemnation, and you love and obey God, not to be more pleasing to Him, but because He is pleased with you in His Son.

Take This To Heart:
“To the praise of His glorious grace, by which He made us accepted in the Beloved.” (Ephesians 1:6)
