Ephesians 1:4-5 NASB

“…4 just as He chose us in Him before the foundation of the world, that we would be holy and blameless before Him. In love 5 He predestined us to adoption as sons through Jesus Christ to Himself, according to the kind intention of His will,…”

Did you know that God knew you before you were even thought of by your parents? Even farther than that…before the foundations of the world were laid, God already chose you to be righteous before Him! Regardless of how you came into the world, God had already made plans for you!

In Hebrews 4:3, it states that “His works were finished from the foundation of the world” and Ephesians 2:10 “For we are His workmanship, created in Christ Jesus for good works, which God prepared beforehand so that we would walk in them.” What does this mean for us?

It means that God has a destiny for each one of us and that He “had already” prepared good works for each one of us to do and accomplish. What is even more interesting is that those good works which have been prepared…was prepared specifically for you and you alone. That means that there is a directive for each one of us to “walk in the good works” which God has prepared in advance because you and only you can accomplish them. This also means that God has chosen you before the foundation of the world. How do you like that?

The question now for each one of us is this… “Are you fulfilling the destiny which God has for you?”

Is there a “holy discontent” burning and churning inside of you that is waiting to be birthed?

REFLECT ON THIS

What dream or vision have you seen or dreamt while asleep or even while  awake have you had that you think you cannot possibly do? Will it glorify God or will it glorify you?
